Offering the convenience a tailgate mount with the big tire capacity
of a swing away, the Bestop® Oversize Tire Carrier utilizes load bearing
mounting brackets which bolt to the strong sub structure of the Jeep,
while a second set of non load bearing brackets attaches to the tailgate.
These, along with a unique articulating mechanism, make the tailgate and
the tire carrier open and close as a single unit and give it a hefty load
rating of 200 pounds.
